HARRISONBURG, Va. (7/8/04) – The Southern All-Stars will host the Northern All-Stars in the 2004 Valley League All-Star game this Sunday at Kate Collins Field, home of the Waynesboro Generals.  The festivities will begin at 4 p.m. with a 60-yard dash competition and home run derby.  The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. first pitch.

All-Stars were picked by their own respective Valley League team’s management and coaches with each club sending three position players and three pitchers to comprise the 30-man roster.  Each position player will appear in the contest and no pitcher will toss more than two innings.

The Southern squad will be managed by Harrisonburg’s Bob Wease, and the Northern unit will be managed by Keith Little of Winchester.  The managers come for the clubs with the best record in their respective divisions after games played on July 3.  The coaching staffs will consist of the remaining managers from the other four teams in each division.

Admission will be $5 for adults and $2 for students.
