Former Harrisonburg Turk Mike Mlotkowski was named to the NAIA First-Team All- American list.

Mike Mlotkowski- Harrisonburg ’03, ’04  - was one of four pitchers chosen by the NAIA.ORG to be on the NAIA All-American First Team this year.  The Oklahoma City University  pitcher was also the NAIA World Series MVP and a member of the NAIA World Series All-Tournament team.  In the NAIA championship game Mlotkowski allowed just four hits in eight innings to lead Oklahoma City University to an 8-1 victory over Embry-Riddle University. On the season Mlotkowski posted a 14-1 record with a 2.68 ERA, four complete-games, one shut-out and two combined shutouts.  The Stars ace recorded 133 strikeouts in 110 2/3 innings pitched. Mlotkowski was third in the country for strikeouts per nine innings with a 10.86 k’s per nine innings and was tied  for most wins in the season with current Luray Wrangler Jon Kirby with 14 victories.

Donnie Burkhalter- Luray ’02, ’03, ’04 – Named to the NAIA second team All-American list as a catcher for Cumberland University.  The former Wrangler batted .329 with 15 doubles and led the country with 28 homeruns. Burkhalter had a .758 slugging percentage on the season.

Chris Torres- Luray ’04- The Cumberland University catcher was named to the NAIA second team All-American list.  Torres batted .336 with 13 homeruns, 12 doubles, and 61 RBIs for the Bulldogs.

Jon Kirby- Luray '04,’05- The Lee University junior was recognized as a NAIA All- American Honorable Mention while posting a 14-1 record with a 3.38 and recorded a NAIA high of 135 strikeouts, the 14 wins was tied with former Harrisonburg Turk Mike Mlotkowski for the most wins in NAIA this past spring.
