Former Staunton Brave Chris Perez was selected to play for Team USA this summer.

Former Staunton Braves' Jon Jay and Chris Perez have been selected to play for Team USA this summer. Jay, a sophomore outfielder at Miami, and Perez, a sophomore pitcher, were selected after three days of tryouts last week. A total of 39 players were invited to try out for the 22-man squad. Both Jay and Perez played for the Braves in 2004.
