2006 Valley League Games to be Broadcast Live on Internet


The Valley Baseball League and Future Media, Inc. have entered an agreement to broadcast all 210 regular season games plus all playoff games live via the internet in 2006. 

Each home team will provide the play-by-play for games.  The 2006 season begins Friday, June 2 with a full schedule of five games.  To access the broadcasts, visit http://www.futuremediaworld.com/sportszone.htm

Future Media provides live broadcasting services to a large collection of colleges, minor league sports franchises, sports leagues, and churches.  Among other clients for the company are Emory & Henry College, Southern Virginia University, Frostburg State Uniiversity, the Muskegon Fury of the United Hockey League, and the Northwoods Baseball League.

The Valley Baseball League, located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, is entering its 14th season as a summer wooden bat league for college players.  The league is partially funded by Major League Baseball and boasts numerous former players who have gone on to successful Major League careers.  The league features 10 teams playing in two divisions.  The Northern Division includes Front Royal, Haymarket, Luray, New Market, and Winchester.  The Southern Division includes Covington, Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, and Woodstock.
