Luray 8, Front Royal 7

AJ Wirnsberger went 5 for 5 with three runs batted in to lift homestanding Luray to its fourth win in the last five games.

Drew Martinez added two hits and three Wranglers pitchers held the Cardinals to just five hits.

Shane Galloway struck out nine for Front Royal.

Covington 5, Staunton 4

Junior Arrojo had two hits and drove in two while Ryan Durrence hit his sixth home run of the season to lead Covington past Staunton, 5-4, at Casey Field.   Mike Kaczmarek went seven innings to get the win on the mound.  

Chris Clinton and John Dishon both had two hits for Staunton.

Winchester 6, Haymarket 5

The Royals scored three runs in the eighth to rally for their third win in two days over Haymarket.

Steve Sabins had three of Winchester's 12 hits and Greg Hopkins paced the hosts with a 2 for 4 evening that included a three-run double.

Woodstock 9, New Market 3

Johnathan Koscso went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI, Matt Blow added two hits including a solo HR and
Jonathan McElroy pitched 6.0 innings with five strikeouts to help the River Bandits to the win.
