Woodstock 6, Harrisonburg 1
Heith Hatfield went 7.0 innings, giving up one run on seven hits while striking out seven to pick up the victory. Eric Kroll went 2 for 4 with three RBI on a three-run HR in the seventh to lead the offense.
Clint Dempster had seven strikeouts in the loss for the Turks.
Front Royal 7, Winchester 5
James Roche was 2 for 3 with an HR and four RBI to help Front Royal past Winchester.
Aaron Dudley was a perfect 3 for 3 for the Royals.
Staunton 10, Waynesboro 9
Todd Brazeal belted a two-run walk-off homer Tuesday to lift the Staunton Braves to a 10-9 victory over Waynesboro. The Braves trailed 9-5 entering the bottom of the seventh, but scored one in the seventh and two runs in the eighth to make it a one-run game.
Kent Burford led off the ninth with a single and, after a groundout, Brazeal hit his fifth homer of the season for the winning runs.
John Dishon was 3-for-4 for Staunton and AJ Kirby Jones was 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the Generals offense.
New Market 14, Luray 8
Steve Owens held Luray to two hits while New Market had 16 hits and two HR from Zack Hegelson to win in Wranglerville.
Covington 8, Rockbridge 6
Covington rallied from four runs down to defeat Rockbridge 8-6. The Rapids jumped out to a four-run lead on four hits in the first but were done in by 15 runners left on base and a steady Lumberjacks comeback.
Lammar Guy and Sherman Johnson each drove in three runs for the victors with Rob Froio banging out four hits for Rockbridge.
Haymarket 6, Fauquier 5
Scott Van Dusseldorp had a pinch-hit, walk-off three-run double to push Haymarket past Fauquier 6-5.
Van Dusseldorp's hit ruined a 7.0 inning performance from BJ Martin in which he scattered three hits and struck out five.
