Fauquier 7,4 - Harrisonburg 1,2
Fauquier evens its record at 12-12 by sweeping a doubleheader from Harrisonburg, winning 7-1 and 4-2. Kyle Putnam was the winner in the opener, scattering six hits in the complete game performance while Ben Burgess had three hits and Justin Wilson and Kevin Deese two hits each.
In the nightcap, Deese had a two-run HR to help the Gators to the sweep.
Mike Schwartz had a home run in the opener for the Turks.
Haymarket 10, Luray 9
Tom La Stella hit a two-run HR in the top of the ninth to put Haymarket on top to stay against Luray. The Senators had trailed 9-7 heading into the frame but got three hits to start the inning before La Stella hit his two-run dinger to complete the comeback victory.
Mark Andrews was the winner in relief for Haymarket.
Front Royal 7, Winchester 5
The Cardinals win for the fourth time in five meetings against Winchester with a two-run victory.
Robert Nixon was the winner on the mound with Ryan George picking up his third save.
Aaron Dudley drove in three for the Royals.
