Front Royal virtually clinches the No. 1 seed by virtue of its victory in Winchester. With a win tomorrow at New Market, the Cardinals will host the league's eighth seed (most likely Covington) beginning on Sunday.
The loss was costly for the Royals - they fall to at least the No. 5 spot behind Woodstock and will travel to either the No. 4 River Bandits or to No. 3 Luray on Sunday.
Matt Bowling earned the win on the mound for Front Royal.
Staunton 12, Luray 10
The Braves stay ahead of Luray with their 10th straight win, but most likely be the No. 2 seed in the playoff thanks to Front Royal's win at Winchester.
Tyler Truxell was 2 for 4 with two RBI for the Wranglers.

Matt Burnside scores the winning run in the bottom of the 10th on a Kevin Rufus bloop single to right to clinch a playoff berth for the Rebels.
Harrisonburg is eliminated from playoff contention with the loss.

League note on Staunton and Rockbridge:
Due to the extension of the regular season caused by rainouts and previously booked travel plans by Rockbridge players, the two games postponed from earlier this week between the Rapids and Braves will not be rescheduled.
Per NCAA rules, these games will be considered ‘no contests' and neither team's record will change. Rockbridge ends its first season with a 9-33 mark while Staunton completes the regular season at 27-15.
The league will use winning percentage to determine playoff seed.
