All-Valley Announced

STAUNTON, Va. – Regular season champion Haymarket has a league-high six selections in All-Valley League picks announced Saturday by the league office.

Rudy Flores is the only Senator to make first team, grabbing a spot at designated hitter after hitting .435 with 12 extra base hits and 30 RBI in 108 at-bats over 27 games.

Harrisonburg had three first team selections, Waynesboro, Winchester and Luray two and New Market, Woodstock and Front Royal one each to round out the 13-man first team.

Two media members from each of the league’s 11 markets, selected by the teams, selected the two All-VBL teams.

The league will announce its major award winners – the MVP, Cy Young and Coach of the Year, next week.
