Strasburg Picks a Nickname

STRASBURG, Va. - The Valley League's newest team now has a nickname.

Strasburg, which was approved earlier this year to replace Fauquier as the league's 12th team and will begin play in 2011, announced Tuesday in the Northern Virginia Daily that its team will be called the Express.

The name was selected by an online vote of its fans and then affirmed by the Valley League at its March meeting. The Express will feature the Purple and White color scheme used by Strasburg High School.
