Home runs by Sanchez Gartman and Byran Henry powered Rockbridge to a 5-2 win over Winchester.

Henry was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI for the Rapids.  The Royals five hits were scattered among five batters.  

Ian Dickson went 6 1/3 innings for the win on the mound.

Luray 6, New Market 2

Luray becomes the third team in the Valley to clinch a playoff spot with a 6-2 victory over local rival New Market.

The win, combined with the Winchester loss, also vaults the Wranglers into second place in the Valley.

The two Jonathan’s, Griffin and Murphy, each have two hits for the victors.

Kevin Brown and Francisco Ramirez have two hits each for the Rebels.

Haymarket 12, Harrisonburg 3

Host Haymarket moves to within one game of clinching the top seed in the upcoming playoffs with a 12-3 win over Harrisonburg.

The Senators will clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win or a Luray loss.

Scott Ferrara leads Haymarket to the victory with three hits and three RBI.

Bobby Brown and Scott Dalyrmple have two hits each for the Turks.

Woodstock 7, Staunton 6

Woodstock keeps its playoff hopes alive, and hurts Staunton's with a 7-6 comeback victory over the Braves.

Mike Garza has three hits and two RBI to lead the 'Bandits to the important win.
