Haymarket 7, Covington 0

Matt Benedict strikes out six and scatters six hits in 7.0 innings as Haymarket shuts out Covington 7-0.

Eric Stamets and Jim Vihalik both have two hits each for the Senators.

Jake Joyce strikes out six in 5.0 innings for the ‘Jacks.

Waynesboro 5, Rockbridge 0, 8 inn.

Jeremy Fitzgerald scattered four hits in a rain-shortened 5-0 Waynesboro victory at Rockbridge. Cody Hudson went 3 for 4 with a triple, two doubles and 3 RBIs to lead the Generals offense. 

A.J. Holland absorbed the loss for Rockbridge.

Luray 8, Woodstock 3, 8 inn.

Luray banged out 16 hits, including three each by Justin Fradejas and Eric Phillips, to key a 8-3 Wranglers win over Woodstock.

This game, like the Rockbridge/Waynesboro contest, was stopped after eight innings due to rain.

Zach Tobolowsky drove in a pair of runs for the River Bandits.

Front Royal 7, Winchester 1

Frank Zier strikes out eight and allows one run on four hits and two walks in 7.0 innings as Front Royal knocks off Winchester 7-1. Scott Thornburg was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI for the Cards with Matt Faiman getting three hits in three at-bats for the Royals.

Harrisonburg 9, Staunton 4  5 inn.

Harrisonburg's Connor Winn went 4-4 with four RBI's and two runs scored and Patrick Savage and Shaun Cooper both had a pair of RBI's as Harrisonburg downed Staunton 9-4 in five innings.  Terrance Jackson pitched all five innings for the Turks, allowing four runs on six hits and four walks against three strikeouts.

Brian Collins drove in two for the Braves.
