James Roche was 2 for 4 with a pair of RBI for the Cards while Kenny Mickens is one of six Rebels with one hit each.

Harrisonburg 5, Covington 2

Bobby Brown keys a four-run Harrisonburg fourth with a two-run single to left and helps the Turks to a 5-2 win at Covington.

Brown also has another RBI in the fifth on a sacrifice fly.

Richie Rodriguez is 3 for 5 with an RBI for the ‘Jacks.

Luray 3, Staunton 1

Luray pitcher Tucker Jenson strikes out 10 in a 3-1 win over Staunton. Jenson scatters five hits and walks just one in 7 2/3 innings of work.

Jonathan Murphy does the damage offensively with two hits and two RBI.

Todd Brazeal has two hits for the Braves.

Haymarket 5, Rockbridge 4

The Senators do all of their damage in the fourth, scoring five runs on eight hits to push themselves past Rockbridge 5-4.

The Rapids make a game of it by scoring three times in their final three at-bats.

Rudy Flores has three hits for Haymarket while Danny Weiss drives in three for Rockbridge.

Winchester 7, Waynesboro 6, 13 inn

Raymond Church's solo HR in the top of the 13th pushed Winchester past Waynesboro, 7-6.

The two teams combined for 27 hits on the day with the Royals' Steve Sabins leading the way with four.

Zephan Guyear has two hits and two RBI for the Generals.
