Waynesboro 5, Rockbridge 2
Daniel Bradshaw threw a three-hitter to lead Waynesboro past Rockbridge 5-2. Bradshaw struck out six, walked three and allowed just one earned run in the complete game victory.
Jared King drove in the game-winning run for the Generals with a seventh-inning single to right center while AJ Holland struck out four in 5.0 innings of relief work for the Rapids.
Haymarket 7, Covington 5
Haymarket takes advantage of a Covington error to score three unearned runs in the seventh and rally for a 7-5 win over the Lumberjacks.
Rudy Flores had two hits and two RBI for the Senators.
Ryan Dineen had three hits and Michael Garcia two with two runs batted in for Covington.
Front Royal 15, Winchester 8
Front Royal hit four home runs and seven doubles on its way to a 15-8 victory over Winchester. James Roche had two of the dingers for the victors.
Raymond Church had a two-run HR for the Royals and drove in three while Pete Greskoff was 4 for 6 with three RBI.
Staunton 12, Harrisonburg 3
Staunton broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the seventh and then added six more in the eighth to defeat the Harrisonburg 12-3.
Brian Collins led off the Braves seventh with a solo homer, his club a 4-3 lead and chasing Turks starter Kurt Wunderlich. Staunton then added eight runs against a pair of Harrisonburg relievers to finish off the victory.
Collins finished 3-for-3 for the Braves and Patrick Braswell was 3-for-4.
Shaun Cooper drove in all three Turks runs with a pair of homers.
Luray 8, Woodstock 4
Visiting Luray jumps out to a 7-0 lead and coasts to the 8-4 win over Woodstock. Jonathan Griffin drives in three and Jonathan Murphy has three hits for the Wranglers.
Mike Garza is 2 for 4 with an RBI for the River Bandits.
