Haymarket 4, New Market 2
Current Player of the Week Rudy Flores hit a solo HR to lead off the eighth inning and help host Haymarket to a 4-2 win over New Market.
Flores, who was also selected to the all-star team Wednesday, had two of the Senators five hits.
Rusty Smith was 2 for 4 for the Rebels from the leadoff spot.
Harrisonburg 5, Front Royal 2
Stephen Kohlscheen scattered two runs on three hits in 6 2/3 innings to pitch Harrisonburg past Front Royal 5-2.
Brett Armour drove in a pair for the Turks with Scott Dalrymple, Shaun Cooper and Joe Huber one hit apiece.
Matt Holland was 2 for 4 with an RBI while Drew Gadaire and Will Walsh were both 1 for 3 for the Cardinals.
Luray 4, Rockbridge 2
Visiting Luray rallied from a one-run deficit with one run in the fifth and two more in the eighth to defeat Rockbridge 4-2.
Andrew Bakoski earned the win in relief with Drew Rudinski picking up his second save.
Jonathan Griffin and Matt Delucia had two hits each for the Wranglers. Chris Rasky and Dillon Way did the same for the Rapids.
Waynesboro 5, Woodstock 4
Waynesboro scores the winning run in the eighth on a walk, a fielder's choice and a TJ Kuban single to left to defeat host Woodstock 5-4.
Kuban led the Generals with a 3 for 4 evening that included two RBI.
Billy Barber drove in a pair for the River Bandits.
Winchester 9, Staunton 5
Winchester jumped out to an early 8-0 lead and held off Staunton 9-5.
Cory Spangenberg, Daniel Scheffler and Steve Sabins belted homers to power the Royals offense. Sabins, Kevin Brashears and J.D. Wallace each finished 3-for-5 at the plate for the Royals.
Steve Scoby had three hits for the Braves and Justin Bagbey was 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs.
