Haymarket 7, Rockbridge 3
In a game marred by eight errors and 14 walks, Haymarket outlasts Rockbridge 7-3.
Austin Schultz paces the Senators offense with three hits and two RBI with Zeth Stone adding three runs batted in.
The Rapids were held to just three hits, one each by Walker Bryant, Bryan Henry and Mike Caddell.
Covington 15, Harrisonburg 5
Covington sent 17 batters to the plate and scored 12 runs in the 8th inning to route a 15-5 win at Harrisonburg.
Richie Rodriquez went 3-for-5 with two RBIs to lead the 'Jacks, while Justin Gonzalez drove in three runs. Jake Ramsey (3-0) picked up the win by scattering four runs on seven hits and one walk in 7.0 innings. He struck out 10.
Shaun Cooper had two hits for the Turks.
New Market 2, Front Royal 1
Ryan Williams has two hits and an RBI to lead host New Market past Front Royal 2-1.
Blaine Sims strikes out five and allows one run on four hits in 7 2/3 to pick up the victory.
James Roche has two hits for the Cards.
Winchester 15, Waynesboro 12
Winchester jumps out to an eight-run lead after just two innings but then has to hold on in a 15-12 victory over Waynesboro. Steve Sabins, Kevin Brashears and Cody Gaskill all had home runs for the Royals.
Grant Fillipitch had a dinger for the Generals, who also got at least one hit out of all nine starters.
Luray 11, Staunton 10 (11 inn)
Luray scored four runs in the top of the ninth to send the game into extra innings and defeated Staunton 11-10 in 11 innings.
Jonathan Griffin hit a pair of homers for the Wranglers, including the game-winning solo shot in the top of the 11th.
Stephen Branca had three hits for the Braves, including a solo home run.
