Rockbridge 4, Harrisonburg 0 (6 innings)

Rockbridge continues its late run at the 2010 playoffs with a rain-shortened 4-0 victory at Harrisonburg.

Andrew Barna went 2 for 2 with a run scored and an RBI and Sanchez Gartman hit a solo HR to right field for the Rapids. 

Shaun Cooper was 2 for 2 for the Turks. 

Chris Zbin allowed three hits in five innings for the victory. 

New Market 1, Luray 0

New Market keeps its playoff hopes alive with a huge 1-0 victory over local rival Luray.  The Rebels scored the only run of the game on a Kevin Brown single followed by an error that led to the run being unearned.

Andrew Kirk went the distance for New Market, striking out 10 and scattering four hits.

Eric Phillips, who had a double, was stranded on third as the game ended for the Wranglers.

Front Royal 16, Haymarket 5

Front Royal cools off the hottest team in the Valley with a 16-5 blowout victory over Haymarket.

Eight of the nine Cardinals in the starting lineup have at least one hit with AJ Albee driving in five runs, Sean Jamieson four and Greg Van Sickler two.

Woodstock 10, Winchester 8

Woodstock erases a five-run deficit, but Winchester scores three runs in the ninth to down the 'Bandits 10-8.

Cody Gaskill provides two of the three runs in the ninth with a two-run dinger and Steve Sabins finishes with five RBI.

Mike Garza is 3 for 5 with three RBI for Woodstock.

Staunton 6, Covington 4 (8 inn)

Staunton keeps its slim playoff hopes alive with a 6-4, 8 inning victory at Covington.

Steve Scoby and Daniel Wright lead the Braves with three and two RBI, respectively.

Richie Rodriguez is 3 for 4 for the 'Jacks.
